If You Missed
getting your young ones to the Mystery Party for Kids, they missed being included in an entertaining and fun interactive play: following clues which lead to the discovery of who stole King Gilroy's 250 pieces of gold. They also missed enjoying eating pizza, salad, and shamrock cookies with other children of the same age.
the Mountain Mama Breakfast, you missed a great opportunity to visit with your neighbors, eat delicious pancakes, cheesy eggs, and hash browns, and get a massage by Jim Sharp, C.M.T.
Melons & Moo-la
In keeping with the tradition of convenience, Vanessa Bernacchi, Mayor of Phillipsburg, would like to provide off-road space, by the old dance hall, for Flea Markets and Farmer's Markets this summer. Wouldn't it be handy to stop at Phillipsburg, on a Saturday morning to pick up a bushel of peaches or apricots, some tomatoes, and a cold watermelon? And wouldn't it be great to get those "boxes of stuff" out of the garage and exchange what's in them for cold, hard cash? E-mail Vanessa at TADS5@aol.com or call her at (303) 697-3177 for more information.

Kidz Korner by "Freckles"
Kidz Korner is a new column, written by one of our talented community children. It is, "a kid's view," of the Sampson Community Club's events. In this issue, "Freckles" writes about the Ice Cream Social and the Pig Roast.
The Ice Cream Social
As you arrive at the Ice Cream Social, you can already feel the cool golden, honey-tasting, thick tasteful ice cream sliding down your throat! Then it happens: a wave of freezing frozen tastes control your skin and send Goosebumps chasing each other up and down your spine. You snap out. And then you get there. And you attack the ice cream scoopers!
Honey vanilla. Vanilla. Vanilla honey. Vanilla. Which do I choose!?!?!?
(I asked my Mother for an adults' view of the Ice Cream Social) "I scoop out my childhood dream: a gigantic banana split. The soothing music of children's laughter provides the perfect background for my feast."
Pig Roast
The pig is ugly. It is potluck. I hope I get fruit salad.

Sampson Community Club
The Sampson Community Club was established in 1955 as a non-profit organization. It was created to preserve Historic Buildings, to gather as groups to meet new neighbors, to stay in touch with each other, enjoy social events, and work together to maintain these buildings as well as our community. Your $20.00 yearly membership dues help support these activities. If you have not paid your dues yet, please send it to the Sampson Community Club mailbox, 16150 Sampson Rd., Littleton, CO 80127.

If you haven't already, put away the bird feeders.
Don't store trash in your house or garage.
Keep
food in the refrigerator, not on the counter, and make noise when outside.
The
Greenhouse Corner
On the 1st of each month feed your roses, veggies, fruit trees, and berries! And add a thick layer of mulch, 4 - 6" deep, to help keep the moisture in and the weeds out.
Reminder: Tomatoes are called, "The Garden Wardens," because they are a type of water monitor. If your tomato plants are standing tall, they and the rest of your veggies have enough moisture. If they are drooping, your garden needs watering.
