The Sampson Community Club's   2008 Calendar

Please come and join us for tons of fun at this year's events!

    Volunteers are needed for all the events!       More hands make the work lighter.  Each social event could use the donation of a small amount of your energy, valuable talents, and time to help create a successful outcome.  Besides, it's a lot of fun!  If you can help, please call Virginia Temmer, (303) 697- 7272 or virginia@broadspoke.net to let her know which event you would like to participate in.  Thank you.

       Hogwarts Winter Session  

        Saturday, February 23rd     2:30 - 8:00 p.m.    Tuition:  $15.00/student

     Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter's alma mater, is proud to hold their Winter Session at the Sampson Schoolhouse. "Students," ages 8 and above, will be sorted into their houses, take classes (Divination, Potions, and a Wand Making class), go to Hogsmeade, and attend a final banquet dinner at 7:00 p.m. in the great dining hall when the House Cup will be awarded! * * * Wizardry attire preferred, but not required. * * * $15.00 per student.

     Mountain Mama Breakfast     May 4th                    9:00 am - noon                   A beautiful, fresh rose for Mom and a delicious breakfast served by our congenial wait staff is what the Mountain Mama Breakfast is all about.  You won't want to miss those delicious pancakes and eggs so please join us.

     Free for Moms, $5.00 per adult, $3.00 per child.  

    Garage Sale Mania!                May 9th and 10th      8:00 am - 4:00 pm               Rent a table for $15.00 for both days! The club will sell hot dogs, chips, and pop. Sellers may set-up on Thursday, May 8th, the day before Garage Sale Mania, if they would like, and sellers, if you want to sell stuff but can't be there to man your table, leave a donation jar out for the buyers!

      Hogwarts Spring Session  

        Saturday, May 31st     2:00 - 8:00 p.m.    Tuition:  $15.00/student

     Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter's alma mater, will be holding their Spring Session at the Sampson Schoolhouse. "Students," ages 8 and above, will be sorted into their houses, take classes (Broomstick Making, Divination, and Herbology), participate in the Quidditch games at Hogsmeade, and attend a final banquet dinner at 7:00 p.m. in the great dining hall when the House Cup will be awarded! * * * Students need to wear sneakers and bring their wand, if they have one. Wizardry attire preferred, but not required. * * * $15.00 per student.

     Barbecue & Ice Cream Social     July 12th                    noon  
     "Ice cream, ice cream, we all scream for ice cream!"  Please bring your own meat to cook and a side dish to share, the Club will provide ice cream and accompaniments. We need some ice cream making volunteers!

     $4.00 per adult, $2.00 per child.

     Pig Roast at the Lamb School     August 9th                 noon
     Nothing marks summer's end like the annual Pig Roast!  Please bring a dish to share and be prepared for fun, good food, and great companionship.

     $7.00 per adult, $3.00 per child.

     Canyon Clean Up                         September 6th             10:00 a.m.
     This fall, the Canyon Clean Up starts at 10:00 a.m.  This is the "tidy up the road" event when you fill one of those elegant orange bags with trash from the road.  Please bring a pair of gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.

      Haunted House                        October 24th & 25th   7 - 10:00 p.m.
     $3.00 per person to go through the Haunted House.

     Craft Fair                            November 15th & 16th    9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
     
Our talented crafters have loads of beautiful gift items they've been working on for months!  There will be jewelry, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, gift baskets, delicious homemade goody-gifts, and much, much more.  So please bring your holiday gift list and shop 'til you drop!  Crafters, we need you to register with one of the coordinators by October 15th and yes, early set-up on November 14th is available.

     Annual Membership Meeting/Thanksgiving Dinner   Nov. 22nd   5:00 p.m.
     Please bring a dish to share and join us for Thanksgiving dinner.  After dinner, at the annual membership meeting, renew your membership or become a member, share your feedback or suggestions, and cast your vote for President and Secretary.
